Martijn Caspar Swart's Bio
Ever since I was a daydreaming youngster in the Netherlands I was creatively active in art. Then growing up in Montana I nurtured appreciations for the natural world and the wild beauties. In my art I most often like to revel in these sorts of characters in their imaginative landscapes. Most recently, however, I chose to expand my abilities by joining a Classical Atelier program at Gage Academy in Seattle I have been challenged to see more technically and work with more acuity. I am overjoyed with the progress in my artwork and I am clearly visualizing my future works. As the next two years commence I'm looking forward to more complexities in rendering forms, mixing paints, and organizing glorious compositions.
When I finish the program with a tremendous body of work I plan on taking commissions and gallery exhibitions. I will be opening my own studio in order to fulfill a number of dramatic series’ I have set aside, including colossal figures, and to teach according to the classical traditions in a class of my own. I am passionate to revive interests in the art world for innovative, technically rigorous, and sophisticated artwork.
