Eric Hancock's Bio

Eric Hancock is an illustrator born and educated in the classic dairy state of Wisconsin. With a BFA in Illustration from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Venturing playfully into worlds of magical realism, the work is heavily influenced by classic fairy tales and mythologies as well as the epic media of cinema. From his earliest days of memory, he remembers begging his mother to take him to see Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi in the theatre only standing eye level with the table covered in movie listings, the table which he owns to this day. Many movies and years later he watches Battlestar Galactica: The Re-imagined Series. Currently working from a modest apartment in the heart of suburban Milwaukee, Eric continues to visualize all the fantastic and mundane worlds his brain can squeeze out for editorials, narrative stories and advertisements.
